California Independence

There is no error in fighting a republic that has descended into empire. Iraq, corporate elitism and the alienation of the West have done much to further the "cause." The Feds have a lot to lose if Californian tax money dried up. You can be sure that the current Administration would've made the Founding Fathers nauseous. I suspect the idea of state succession will grow increasingly mainstream in the years to come.

California is a state of entrepeneurs that could've made it on its own long ago. We have the fifth largest economy in the world. You can bet that the only ones who will have an issue with this truly progressive idea are the Feds and the die-hard reactionaries who have been brainwashed by images of flag and eagle.

It's time for me to get up on the soapbox for a moment and expound on one of the greatest hindrances to our freedom. All too often in this country, the press has been complicit as a mouthpiece for government propaganda. To be honest, I can't remember the last time I saw a hard-hitting investigative piece on the mainstream news shows. If we seek to spread the movement of democracy in the mid-East, we must lead by example and use the press and our First Amendment rights to expose our crooked leaders. It's really quite as simple as that.
